4:30pm Guided walk/tour (Statler Hotel to the Johnson Museum of Art) with Corey Earle
Meet in the Statler Lobby. Corey Earle is the Associate Director of Student Programs in the Office of Alumni Affairs, teaches “The First American University,” a 400-person course on the history of Cornell, serves as an advisor for several student organizations, and is the chairman of the board of trustees of The History Center in Tompkins County.
5-6:30p Opening reception & self-guided tour of museum, Johnson Museum of Art
Welcoming remarks from Barb Knuth, Senior Vice Provost and Dean of the Graduate School, and Paul Streeter, Vice President of Budget and Planning, at about 6pm.

The Johnson Museum of Art was designed by architect I.M. Pei and constructed in 1973. It is named after its primary benefactor, Herbert Fisk Johnson, Jr. of S.C. Johnson & Sons (“Johnson Wax”), class of 1922. Special exhibits include Leo Villareal’s Cosmos and Matthew Schreiber’s Crossbow.

From 2013-15, Jordan served on President Obama’s Council of Economic Advisers and led the technical development on the College Scorecard. He is interested in developing improvements to the Scorecard that would have little additional burden on institution data collection efforts.

The Plantations include 25 acres of botanical gardens in addition to the arboretum and natural areas.

Tompkins Cortland Community College’s (TC3) Farm-to-Bistro program gives students hands-on experience in every aspect of the food-production system. TC3 operates its own organic farm that supplies fresh, local produce to Coltivare. Brandon Seager is the chair of the Wine Marketing department at TC3, and has a master’s degree in Enology & Viticulture from Cornell. Guests from TC3 include Kris Altucher, Associate Dean and Director of Institutional Research and Brandon Seager, Professor of Wine Marketing.
